Yes I teach quilting----

But I LOVE going to classes! I always learn something!

My girlfriend and I went to a class with Rob Appell of Man Sewing of Missouri Star Quilt Co. for the 3 Dudes quilt at Meissners Sewing & Vacuum in Folsom, CA (yep-excuse for a road trip)

This is the lovely machine that Meissners provided fro the class..she purred like a kitten-and their classroom space is marvelous!

My block of f the strip set we made in class -yes ever the rebel I did put mine together differently..

And the "Man Sewing" in person:

My Valentine - A day of sewing!

I spent the day sewing!

But on Saturday - I spent the day searching for my Amy Butler Birdie Sling pattern. This has to be my favorite purse pattern - I have tried MANY! I keep coming back to this one because it holds a lot- and - it has this awesome, wide, padded shoulder strap!

I have lots of other bags for different uses - like the Mondo bag from Quiltmsart

So I got dome tidying of the sewing room done as a by product of the search-'some'

I did pick fabrics

There is a lot of fusible fleece in this, and I needed the tube turner for a related project below-some good tools make life easier: Dritz themal thimbles and the Clover Iron Finger are finger savers for me!
