National Quilt Day...

A

Today was ( is for a tad bit longer) National Quilt Day! After grocery shopping (necessary evil) I did this:

And cut these two:

And have them marked for HST and flying geese - maybe they will get sewn tomorrow, maybe not; might depend on the Leprechauns, as we are having the family St Paddy's Day corn beef n cabbage dinner tomorrow.

I also worked on my Grammy quilt some, this sheeting is tiring on the hands, will be glad to get it done and in use.
Hope you had a great day of quilting

Gloomy day - time to play!

ThatAnd our chance of rain ha shrunk from 60% to 30%. I really don't mind the clouds when it rains, but without rain they just seem gloomy. At least girls play day yesterday was treated to sunshine for a trip to Lake Tahoe to visit Quilying Tahoes - the best collection of batiks in the area -http://www.quiltingtahoe.net. - and Penny is a gracious host and is extremely helpful in picking the right fabric(s)! If you are in the area you should definitely stop in and visit, I am sure you'll find something you "have" to take home; be it from her great line of batiks, juvenile prints, or, well, just about anything.

So, a pile of stress relief dolls started today's sewing session:

Then on to BOM work:

That did indeed require frogging (sigh), but the sister blocks did get finished.

The next two are started, but about time to think about dinner - I really dislike daylight savings time!

Happy sewing
